Untitled One

I see who I used to be

When my eyes fall on you,

I hear you speak; then

Watch as you follow it through.

So confused, did I leave a part

Of me with you. If so what do

I do, because they look so

Much better behind your eyes.

I’m just a distant memory

of an easier part of life.

If I knew how, I would fix

The aspects that got switched.

But I can’t just give you one

Part, because most all of its

Gone. Lost in the sands of time

From another life. We looked

so happy. Tragic, I can only

Imagine instead of make it

Reality. Unsure what way

To perceive. Because I

Get everything wrong.

And wear a mask to

Play along.
